I like to just make videos of me being creative and playing the way I play. I’ve found that just watching other guitarist play and being creative in their element helps the music learning experience. These are videos of looping, soloing, both on electric and acoustic, and just playing around. I hope you enjoy these videos. -Aaron
Guitar Looping – Live Multi Tracking
“Stillness of E”
Sometimes it’s nice to play guitar and enjoy the whole sound of the creation and stillness of music. I plan to do a lot more of this type of sounding guitar loops. Multiple keys, multiple sounds, and more slow melodies. Playing guitar slow is just as creative as playing fast- and I would even argue that it’s just as technical. Use this video as a lessons too, even though I’m not teaching. Check out my chord structures, and once I start playing the melody lead line later in the video, check out the harmony patterns. It’s all in the key of E, so that should help. Enjoy!
“Line 6 M9 Delays – Rock Loops”
So this video was my first looping video. So please excuse the sloppiness. I play this in the key of D. About 30secs into the video, I start on a B minor shape and begin the chord progression while including the first basic melody. The next loop I create is playing string harmonics in the same key of D on the rhythm count that would be the “snare drum”. This gives a bit more rhythmic stability. The next loops is the bass guitar loop, which is just created by using an Octave down pedal and playing the notes on my guitar. Then, the fun begins with random soloing. Enjoy!
