and also Shawn McDonald – Rise. I love to play as a stress relief and it takes me a bit to learn to play a song so video has been amazing. One day decided I wanted to play and learned “She Talks to Angles” on a site called Guitar Tricks…took me a about a year to really get the hang of it but I did it. I had never played before but it is amazing what you can learn when the method is video and you can watch parts over and over. Most of the strumming I can figure out because I know the songs so well so really it is just tuning and finger positions that I need to work it out. Thanks for doing the alternative Christian music. I would like to thank God and yourself for this website, it is a blessing!

Fall ’2009, I decided to pick up my guitar, I had bought ten years prior, and learn how to play it. Unfortunately in October of that year I got into a terrible car accident, totalling my car and my guitar in it.

I’m originally from NYC, currently living in the central coast, California. Since my accident I went back to NY and picked up my other guitar I had bought at the same time. Sad to say, but I had lost interest in learning to play

2012 has been a significant year, got married last year and we’re having our first child together, due in December. On top of that, this last March, praise the Lord we were baptized together. Not only together, but also with my parents. We found out my wife was pregnant the day after we were baptized!

Moving forward, both my wife and I have joined our church’s choir and music service. My Lord and wife are expiring me to pick up my guitar once more!

If it is possible these are two request I would like to make, they are some of my wife’s favorite…

I have been starting to learn how to play “Beautiful” by MercyMe. If you did not know, this song was originally written by the lead singer, Bart Millard, to his daughter reminding her she is beautiful because God created her that way.
